Your staff register, timelines, tasks, complaints and documents are stored securely against your account. Staff records use codenames everywhere they leave this browser — real names never reach the AI. This browser also keeps its own local copy for speed; "Clear Local Cache" empties that copy only and never touches your account.
How do you keep my staff's names private?
Each employee's real name is stored once, encrypted, and visible only to you in this portal. Everywhere else — assessments, generated documents, anything the AI sees — a stable codename is used in its place.
Is this legal advice?
No. MatterWise gives general guidance grounded in the Fair Work Act and decided cases. Risk badges and outcome ranges are computed from codified law and a labelled case corpus — the AI only narrates the result, it never decides it. For a specific matter, get advice from a qualified employment lawyer.
How do I add my existing team?
Go to Employees → Add staff → Quick add and enter everyone at once — just a name and start date each (role is optional). You can also paste a CSV, or add people one at a time.
How is dismissal risk calculated?
From codified law (jurisdiction, the s.387 criteria, the Small Business Fair Dismissal Code) and statistics over a labelled corpus of decisions — not from the AI. The same facts always produce the same badge, and it traces to a statute.
How do I let staff raise concerns anonymously?
Open Settings and share the anonymous complaints link or print the QR poster. Submissions arrive under Complaints with no identifying details unless the person chooses to add them.
How does billing and the free trial work?
You get full access during your free trial — add your whole team and run assessments before paying anything. Pricing is a flat monthly base plus a small amount per active employee, so it scales with your headcount. Adding or ending staff adjusts your seats automatically.
Can I export my data?
Yes — Settings → Export All Data downloads your matters, documents and profile as a JSON file.
